I was lucky to be born with a passion for drawing. This came from my father, an artist himself, who nurtured that in me in the sunroom of our house overlooking the St. Lawrence. He taught me to improve myself in terms of technique and composition. I am still learning. I have had a very broad spectrum of experiences in my 40-plus-year career; each one has enriched my approach.

My search for stimuli continues – from theatre and dance to landscape, interiors and florals. I have many series going on at once, I am never bored. My work involves collage, with etchings and mixed media and finally oils; these become layers – figuratively and literally (a nod to my psychotherapist background) and I paint with glorious colours that make me happy.
